Project work – drawings week 3

During my time on K road I looked a lot of things there not only the beautiful buildings but also the small objects on K road like the power box, the public benches everyone sits on, the little corners everyone walks past everyday and I photographed these objects and looked at our project how we can use these spaces where everyone is around everyday and so I drew a few objects and places I saw or that everyone see’s when they’re on K road.

Public benches, art symbols, store symbols, power boxes, K road buildings also a few body figures I drew of women when I think of K road because of the Adult stores, Strip clubs and people who work on K road.

I also was interested in the way some buildings on K road had an interesting staircase or entering pathway and also a few corners on K road that needed a little love.

Above I was interested in the different typography I saw on the streets of K road it just had it’s own vibe to it and if I saw these typography else where it would remind me of K road – I found a few art and the rest are just store signs of K road.

Form, volume and pattern – week 13

Today I decided to go a head and work on my object from last week – as the only materials I had on me were PVA glue, cardboard, old CDs and christmas wrapping paper. I decided I did not want to buy materials I wanted to see what I could work with at home and these are what I found lying around as difficult as it was I managed to come up with something that was less complicated but also not too simple for myself.

Below I cut out a few rectangles and cut little pieces at the end of them to form what I have shown below this here is to hold the middle of my lamp and also to hold a candle inside.

Here I have stuck the CD under the structure and placed another CD on that of that glued that down and added another lay during the progress.

I have created another layer on top and waited for this to dry as the PVA glue was very tricking to work with especially on the CD texture.

Went a head and added strips of wrapping paper I stripped earlier, I added this because I wanted my lamp to have an effect when the candle is lit. I also placed the candle inside of the lamp as this part was tricky as my measurements weren’t as good and did not want to fit!

Culture, context and communication – week 13

“Cruelty Free lipstick”

Thinking back to when I brainstormed about my product I was actually looking more on the redundancy in my product more than entropy, truthfully I did not think of these two “Redundancy” or “Entropy” nor did I know what the meaning of these words meant. I was looking at my own personal experiences with non cruelty free lipsticks and the difference with cruelty free lipsticks this being said I introduced materials and experiences I have had and changed ways for an example long lasting wear for this cosmetic as majority cruelty free products can not include that with the ingredients.

CruetlyFreeLipsticks

I would say it was highly redundant as I made a few mistakes with the brief as I have created a product that already exists so I would have found in research that a lot of consumers would have know how to use this object and there isn’t any other ways to use this product.  For entropy if I could change ways and introduce entropy to my product that would be the long lasting wear as mentioned before, this would have a huge affect on consumers as they find non cruelty free last longer than cruelty free products. I have included this in being a new way for consumers to find new information about this as this isn’t included in the existed product.

Form, volume and pattern – week 12

During the last 3 weeks of this semester we are given a task to create a object that includes form, volume and pattern and also internal space – After class I was still left clueless as I asked Paul or Rowena multiple times but still found myself asking around as they were not as clear. This week I have found a couple of inspirations on Pintrest I was like at different types of 3D lamps as they have the relationships with “Form, volume and pattern”

I sketched up a few concepts on what I want my lamp to be like.. went with a few 3D lamps as I was inspired from the ones above.

Context and Innovation

Designing the product:

My item I planned was a cosmetic lipstick that was cruelty free. During my configuration progress I needed to outline something that I loved cared for and which are, I adore cosmetics and also I think about animals and love them as well. I found an entire stack of examination about how items I utilized as a part of the past tried on innocent animals, this was grievous so I chose to outline my own product which is enduring cruelty too.

Situation:

I found most cruelty free items can’t stay durable as they are not able to test on animals in this way aren’t 100% positive on to what extent the item would last. That is the reason I chose to outline an item that is cruelty free as well as enduring wear. This has been an issue to cruelty free clients in the past as they are not content with applying the item various times to keep the item set up and I am one of those users.

Demographic:

The demographic for this particular item would be for female or male make up users that love cosmetics as well as for those animals that have been tried on furthermore think about what they’re using on their own skin. The expense of this item would not be that challenge as most organizations pay an entire pile of sum for their item to be tried on animals and needing their item to acquire cash from it.

Information Architecture – week 11

I have taken my own draft drawings of “My drive to Unitec” and decided to have a go with photoshop took a few screenshots from Google maps the roads and motorways I drive through during my journey and dragged them onto photoshop creating my own map – I have added some of the suburbs I drive through their own logos that represent them some are school logos, suburb logos also. I’ve researched a few other personal maps people have made and they all seem to be simple and easy to read so I have carried that through my progress of making this.

Now willing to go a head and print this onto a hard copy.

What is context? – week 11

The Godfather is a 1972 American crime film directed by Franics Ford Coppla and produced by Albert. S. Rudly and based on Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel, which had the same name as the movie. The film stars Marlon Brando and Al Pacino as the leaders of a fictional New York crime family. The story, spanning the years 1945 to 1955, centers on the transformation of Michael Coreleone from reluctant family outsider to ruthless Mafia boss while also chronicling the family under the patriarch Vito Corleone.

Moviegoers had little motivation to expect much from “The Godfather” when it was released in 1972. The film depended on a popular though not top of the line novel, made by a generally unpracticed chief, and performed by for the mostly unknown actors, in addition to one, Marlon Brando, who was viewed as well past his prime—with everything taken into account, not precisely the exemplary Hollywood equation for achievement. Resisting the chances, “The Godfather”  went ahead to end up a standout amongst the most prevalent motion pictures ever. It brought forth two spin-offs, the first is a perfect work of art in its own particular right, generated innumerable clones, propelled the movie professions of a few huge performers, and changed always what a crowd of people would expect when it entered a theater.

Of course I am an ideal audience, I love this movie and movies about American crime films. Also when it’s based from a novel but the movie is ten times better. This one of history’s grand master films and if anyone else disagrees they should suck it up and so be it.

Editing – Week 11

During class today we discussed the essences of editing scenes and watched a few movies scenes and looked at how they edited their scenes and most were interesting as a movie fanatic myself I’ve discovered a lot editing scenes in different movies, it really changes the viewers feeling during that scene. Effects, sounds and also lighting are the most important editing skills I find that can change the mood of a scene.

During my short film I had to cut out a few scenes to keep it short but then actually loved the whole film so decided to put it all together and put the FULL version of my short film on here.
